First, I want to wish a Merry Christmas to you! Whether you celebrate or not, may this time of the year be filled with joy, rejuvenation, tasty food, and time with loved ones. I feel fortunate to have some free time to spend with Laurel for our first Christmas together and to be so close to family. We have been blessed with much, including a warm home, adequate financial resources, opportunities for growth and learning, and peace in our hearts. We rejoice that the Savior was born and that we have the freedom to celebrate it.

I also want to announce our big news. Laurel is pregnant! She’s three months along and due on June 26th. We’re both really excited. Laurel’s been tired a lot and felt some nausea, but she has continued strong through her busy schedule.

Awhile ago, we feared there were complications, and the nurse performed an ultrasound. Happily, she found nothing wrong. Below a picture from the ultrasound. The red arrow points to a little white dot that is the fetus. This was awhile ago, so he/she is much bigger now.
