Today in a lecture I heard about an old African proverb about collaborating with other people: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

I must use this quote when I talk to management or others about the benefits of the practice of pair programming from eXtreme Programming.
If one person writes the software alone, it might be quick, but the software might not be supportable long term. If two people write the software together, then the software can go farther and last longer.
