TaxSlayer
For years I’ve used TurboTax online, and it has worked well for me. It usually costs $50-100 to file that way. However, this year I had a little more complicated form, and I ran into a bug in their system. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get around this bug.
I had heard recently about TaxSlayer, which is promoted by the IRS. It doesn’t lead you by the hand or have as many helpful tips, but it was much faster and only cost me $9.95. What took me hours and hours to do in TurboTax took me less than an hour in TaxSlayer.
If only I could have found a way to not have to pay taxes…
