Some Great Books
Last year I made a goal to read an average of 10 pages per day in books, not counting textbooks, magazines, or scriptures. That was the first time I remember setting a New Year’s Resolution and sticking with it the whole year. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity. This year my goal is 15 pages per day.
Below is a list of (most of) the books I’ve read so far. (I’m in the middle of two more.) I would recommend any of these.
- Bonds That Make Us Free: Healing Our Relationships, Coming to Ourselves
- The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century
- Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling
- Bleak House
- A Disciple’s Life: The Biography of Neal A. Maxwell
- Covenant Hearts: Marriage And the Joy of Human Love
- A Tale of Two Cities
- Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap… and Others Don’t
- Gilead: A Novel (Pulitzer Prize winner)
Do you have any you have read lately that you would recommend? Send me an email.

I love “The Peace Giver” By James Ferrell and “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” by Kate DiCamillo. It’s a children’s book that is written so beautifully.

I loved Gilead (like you did). Robinson’s other book, “Housekeeping” is also good. Another of my favorites last year was “Kiterunner”. “Song of Solomon”-Toni Morrison was another great one.
